The design development process can follow several different paths but our aim is always the same – to work closely with our customers to create the most exquisite printed fabrics possible.
Whether starting with a piece of original artwork or an archive document, or simply working from a customer brief on a design concept, making the right choices on the most suitable print process, design repeat, screen mesh, cloth selection and finish is critical. Equally, we take great care and pride in ensuring that each design is interpreted and separated to very best effect.
Our design studio is equipped with the very latest computer-based CAD software to ensure that the colour separation process is accurate and efficient, and the work can be stored in digital format for the subsequent engraving and colouration processes. By combining this new technology with the traditional skills of our team of separation artists, with their many years of experience of producing tonal work and fine detail by hand, to add their creativity to the process we can ensure that every design separation achieves just the right balance of finesse and character.
